Thursday Night Ride
Devil Ride Recce
Gents, great ride today, I think Phil will have another winning route on his hands with that one
Great company, Team kit looks impressive, especially when we were lined out on the A470 on the burn up back to Builth. Some leg burning turns put in by several riders on the aforementioned run into the finish
Testing climbs should have participants visiting “purgatory”
Shorts are the comfiest I’ve ever owned ![]()
Club Kit Order
If you ordered cub kit, then the good news is it has arrived
There are also some extra bits of kit in addition to the pre-ordered stuff if you didn’t get an order in in time…the items we have include short sleeved jerseys (£30), long sleeved lightweight jerseys (£35), bibshorts Continue reading ‘Club Kit Order’
The test ride will be this Sunday, starting at 10am from the car park next to the Tourist Info office and public loos (just on your right after you cross the river bridge in the middle of Builth - you will have to go round the one way system to get into it though). They charge £2.20 for the day, so you may want to park on road side somewhere - oh, and it also has a height restriction so beware roof racks!
The idea will be to take a few photos, check the route out for road works etc, and have a good ride at the same time. Will be a slightly cut down version (80-85 mile maybe?) Continue reading ‘Devil Ride sportive - test ride 20th July’
Team Turn Out !!!
Anyone up for the Trans Cambrian Sportive on the 7th September 2008. This event gets some fantastic reviews and is worthy of a look !! Quite local for us too
I realise that the Devil ride and the Autumn Epic will be a priority but I feel this may allow for us all to participate as Phil and organisation team will be busy at shop events !!!
Tour Chasing
As some of you know, Dave, Phil, Sam and myself went to France for a few days (along with our bikes) to watch a bit of the Tour and to get a couple of rides in. Despite the showery weather, we all had a brilliant time, and have all picked up a bad case of Tour fever. Continue reading ‘Tour Chasing’
Thursday ChainGang
It’s Thursday again and it looks like being a mixture of sunshine and showers!
Not quite what you boys have been used to whilst on your jollies but it’s all we have to offer here in the UK.
I’ll be sporting a rain jacket at the eco park at 7, but if anybody wants to go earlier I’m planning on going for a warm up first at about 6:15. Hope you can all make it, as I’m sure you have lots of stories to tell to make the time pass! ![]()
Hi everyone. I’m going to take a ride out from the shop this Saturday, leaving at around 10am. It will be about 35 miles, not totally sure yet as I’m going to plan the route tonight. Hopefully it will give us all a chance to catch up and discuss any up and coming events. Hopefully see you all there! I’ll post the route as soon as it’s done. ![]()
Sunday Ride 29th June
Hopefully, there will be a few of us meeting at the sheet road (ludlow) eco park at 9am tomorrow morning for a 50ish mile ride. Last chance to have a go at catching Simon’s wheel before he’s off for the marmot! There will be hills, descents and even 30 signs on route, so there’s something for everyone. ![]()
Stinger sportive 6/7/08
I know one or two have already entered this one, any more takers ? I realise that a few of our number are Marmotte bashing or Tour de France watching, but of those that are left it would be nice to support the Wyre Forest promotion ![]()
