crash bang wallop !!!

Well I’ve used up one of my lives !!! To stop the rumours having me 6ft under and donations being made to some animal charity, can I just up-date folks on my accident. Yes I hit a car at 29 mph, flew through the air with obvious style with a pike, twists and turns thrown in, was carted off in an Ambulance, trussed up on a body board with witness’s screaming ”he’s broke his legs, he’s boke his legs”. The car in question turned across in front of me with no time to react I ‘T’-boned said car at door pillar. I thought I had a one-way ticket to meet my maker but miraculously I and my bike, now in several bits, went up and over the car to be rudely deposited in the middle of the A44 :-( Several hours in hospital and now back home licking my wounds (both legs badly bruised and cuts) You’re not rid of me just yet ;-)

Unbelievable – 29mph on the A44! must have been downhill :o ) Hope you feel better soon matey – shame about the bike but better that be in pieces than you, mind you Tescos have an offer on grapes at the mo so I would have sorted you out on that front.

You’re still riding the Trans Cambrian…..right?

Sorry to hear about your incident, hope you make a speedy recovery. The silver lining, if there can be is that you picked a good time of the year, season almost over and it gives you a natural break before you start training for next year!

Do you know who the insurer of car?

Thanks Gents, Yes it was slightly downhill, tailwind and I had a few pies last night to assist, worst thing is your not the first to say that :-(

Really really sore at the moment which I guess will get worse over next few days !!!

Gotta get to doctors, I’m worried there is some serious damage in left leg. I’m struggling with the mental ”what if” senario’s whizzing round my little head.

Re insurance all I know is the lady was insured and amazed at how many people suggesting ”Claims direct” and ”Injury Lawyers 4 U”, :-0

Glad to hear you are O.K.ish. I had exactly the same thing happen to me about 15 years ago, was going downhill at about 35 and hit the car almost head on, into windscreen over car and flew through the air about 15 metres. I too was very lucky to escape with relatively minor injuries (but was fetching pieces of glass from the windscreen out from under my skin years after!). I made a claim through a lawyer for lost earnings, injuries sustained, replacement bike, clothes, etc. it took a while to sort out but was well worth doing in the end. His car was written off by me hitting it!

Hi dave, that sounds like an nightmare, glad you’ve survived to tell the tale! we’re you wearing your tarmac grey stealth skinsuit?

anyway don’t worry about the what ifs just move on and concentrate on choosing your new bike.

If someone pulls out on you then you’re either ok or you’re f***ed there usually isn’t much you can do about it.

In your case you can get all your mates to persecute this woman until she has enough points to be taken off the road for a while!

Very sorry to hear of your extreme bad luck, however thank god your still here to tell the tale.

Hope your wounds heal quickly and your back out on the bike soon, I’m sure it’ll take a while to get your confidence back.
