Win Win :-)
Time for me start on the race circuit, having not got in to Evesham and being at work for Paramount circuits :-/ This is a hard race, but is on the easier of Abergavenny RC’s courses outside Monmouth (fast rolling 40 miler). Means the pace will be hot, as includes E/1/2/3/4, but ideal prep for bigger road targets to come. Will be first true training race for me in ‘09, so my only aim is to finish – Simon and Dave are in too I think, so should be a decent team showing. Details are HERE.
Social Ride 28th March
Hi all – I know a fair few of us will be busy taking part in events or working this weekend, but are there any volunteers to lead the social ride from the shop on Saturday? I will happily find a route if needed (approx 30-35 miles), but will be uber busy in store so can’t ride myself sadly…
Pinvin and Bill Jinks RR’s
Well with Si still drifting around on Cloud 9, it’s time to look forward to this coming weekend
Although the team will be split, it looks like we will be well represented at two races.
The elder statesmen of the team will be visiting the mountainous circuit of Col Du Pinvin
With the circuit almost pan flat, things should be fast and furious. Expectations will be very high with, Giles, Phil and newest member Nick all showing good form and don’t be surprised if Grah or Matt get themselves in the mix
Not sure exactly how many we will have at Bill Jinks event but it promises to be another good turn out from Epic (come on spill the beans, who’s in).
Good luck to everyone this weekend, lets keep the good start going
Evesham RR
Giles, Ewen, Simon, Grah, Pete and Matt, a massive congratulations to you all on fantastic performances
A great team effort which bodes so well as it’s still early season !! Need I say more
Caslte Coombe Cuircuit Races
I realise races are starting to come thick and fast but anyone fancy this one on Easter Friday ? I guess the shop will be shut and there is a 4th cat only race
I haven’t ridden there before so any clues would be nice !
Giles has stolen a march on the rest of the team with his first road race outing in the Clayton Velo. The race was won by Rob Hayles in an event dominated by Elites, but Giles stormed into the top ten with 8th in some pretty grim conditions.
Giles digs deep on the left!
One down and ready for more!
Done it!
That’s the first TT under the belt and I actually quite enjoyed it. (Couldn’t have been going hard enough!) Ian and I knuckled down to our first TT of the season down at Resolven (nr Port Talbot) on Sunday. It was dry and sunny, which is more than I can say for most of the TT’s last year!!
