Paramount Circuit Race Series

With the Evesham RR slipping through my fingers, I am keen to do the Paramount Series. Does anybody know how it all works? It says that they take entries on the day, is this true? Do I just need to take my license, plus entry fee obviously? I’m afraid I don’t have much faith in some of the race organisers (no start sheet for Port Talbot 25TT which I am riding Sunday yet!!).  Any info would be much appreciated. See you all soon.

Wolverhampton Track – 22nd Feb

UPDATE:  We are meeting up at the track reception for around 12.30-12.40 so that we have time to change/dither/chat before getting onto the track for 1pm.  If anyone wants to lift share please post a comment, as it would be silly to drive up in convoy if it can be avoided!  The track is situated in Aldersley Leisure centre – just bung that into Google maps for directions, which are pretty easy.  If you have Epic kit please wear it as we are hoping to get a photos for the website   No track bikes needed, just bring your best road bike (the track does not offer bike hire).

We are planning an afternoon at Wolverhampton outdoor track for Epic-Viner RT and Epic RC members on 22nd February from 1pm until 4pm – just £2.80 per person.  If you haven’t ridden there before don’t worry…very few of us have!

This info has been posted under aaaaarrrrghhhhh but I feel it is certainly worthy of its own thread. Dad, GaryMc, was letting us know of his son, Ewen’s, successful bronze medal ride in the Welsh Madison Championships, at the track on Saturday 14/2/09. Can I extend our congratulations to Ewen and of those who may not recognise the name, like me, you probably wont recognise the face either ‘cos he was the rider at the Ludlow reliability ride that most of us saw just the rear of his Halesowen top !!! Now part of the RT he should be soon clad in Team kit Again Congratulations

aaaaarrrrghhhhh!

How frustrating…the team bike was great, the legs were willing, but my stomach was weak, very weak   Well done on a good team performance again at the Wyre Forest Reliability Ride..me excepted!  Felt good enough at the start to do a 5 mile turn on the front, a bit iffy after 10 miles, then awful on the flatter bits of the A456, despite cruising along in 9th or 10th wheel…decided to turn back at Tenbury as was only getting worse…felt poor all the way back until my emergency “pitstop” at 100 House.  Much better after that!  Last week it was legs, this week guts…what next?!  Bring on the track

Ludlow reliability – Ouch

Well great to see a large turn out from the Epic boys, few more still to show their faces but good numbers all the same

Congratulations to our newest member, Ewen McDonald and not so new, Charler, great ride you two ! You were in some quality company and glad my sacraficing myself, blocking for the team, didn’t go unwasted The second group on the road was littered with Epic boys, the usual suspects, Great stuff !!
