New week, new ride!! Meet at the Ludlow Eco park at 7 or if there are any early birds, me and Simon are going for a quick spin up the Ludlow hill climb (Whitcliffe) just after 6. I believe that the idea is to take on the Brown Clee incline tonight!!! No 30 signs at the top, so it isn’t a race. Although, first person to the top has the pleasure of watching everyone else wrestle their machines to the death!!! See you there!

Thursday Night Ride
Devil Ride Recce
Gents, great ride today, I think Phil will have another winning route on his hands with that one
Great company, Team kit looks impressive, especially when we were lined out on the A470 on the burn up back to Builth. Some leg burning turns put in by several riders on the aforementioned run into the finish
Testing climbs should have participants visiting “purgatory”
Shorts are the comfiest I’ve ever owned
The test ride will be this Sunday, starting at 10am from the car park next to the Tourist Info office and public loos (just on your right after you cross the river bridge in the middle of Builth – you will have to go round the one way system to get into it though). They charge £2.20 for the day, so you may want to park on road side somewhere – oh, and it also has a height restriction so beware roof racks!
The idea will be to take a few photos, check the route out for road works etc, and have a good ride at the same time. Will be a slightly cut down version (80-85 mile maybe?) Continue reading ‘Devil Ride sportive – test ride 20th July’
Tour Chasing
As some of you know, Dave, Phil, Sam and myself went to France for a few days (along with our bikes) to watch a bit of the Tour and to get a couple of rides in. Despite the showery weather, we all had a brilliant time, and have all picked up a bad case of Tour fever. Continue reading ‘Tour Chasing’
Thursday ChainGang
It’s Thursday again and it looks like being a mixture of sunshine and showers!
Not quite what you boys have been used to whilst on your jollies but it’s all we have to offer here in the UK.
I’ll be sporting a rain jacket at the eco park at 7, but if anybody wants to go earlier I’m planning on going for a warm up first at about 6:15. Hope you can all make it, as I’m sure you have lots of stories to tell to make the time pass!
Hi everyone. I’m going to take a ride out from the shop this Saturday, leaving at around 10am. It will be about 35 miles, not totally sure yet as I’m going to plan the route tonight. Hopefully it will give us all a chance to catch up and discuss any up and coming events. Hopefully see you all there! I’ll post the route as soon as it’s done.
