Sunday Ride 29th June

Hopefully, there will be a few of us meeting at the sheet road (ludlow) eco park at 9am tomorrow morning for a 50ish mile ride. Last chance to have a go at catching Simon’s wheel before he’s off for the marmot! There will be hills, descents and even 30 signs on route, so there’s something for everyone.

Stinger sportive 6/7/08

I know one or two have already entered this one, any more takers ? I realise that a few of our number are Marmotte bashing or Tour de France watching, but of those that are left it would be nice to support the Wyre Forest promotion

Epic Cycles social rides…

With lots of people on summer jollies, taking part in sportives, or maybe even racing, and with the shop being flat out we have been struggling to fit our regular social rides in.  Which is a BIG pity!  Although we have been meeting up regularly at sportives, TTs etc.  When things have calmed down a bit the plan is to have shop staff taking turns leading the rides every few weeks – so watch out for Simon’s turn But in the meantime if anyone fancies coming over to the Barn and leading a bunch out into the lanes for a steady spin please go ahead!  Just post a comment below and we’ll publicise it on the shop site too – even better if you can plot the route in MapMyRide, as we’ll post that up as well.

Thought I’d start a new thread for this as I can’t be arsed to keep scrolling down to the bottom of the page on the last thread!

So, everyone up for it again this week? I can be at Sheet Road island about 7.10.
Not sure the weather’s going to do mind.

Merlin Ride Sunday 22nd June

Anybody doing this? I see it says on the sportive outings post that this one should be a major shop ride, but can’t see anyone on the entry list! I’m definitely up for the biggy, 112 miler! Any takers!

Shropshire Highland Challenge – time?

Looking forward to this on Sunday – especially if someone else knows the route! I don’t like following written instructions out on the bike, so will happily follow anyone who knows where they are going… A few of us are planning to make this a bit of a family outing at a truly steady pace – but when shall we meet up/set off? I am easy as it is sooooo simple to get to from our place

Rhayader Thurs 12 June – round the lakes TT

Chris is too lazy to sign in himself…and has a mac…so I’ll be postig this for the poor boy…

If you only ever do one time trial in your life it should be this one   17 miles round the Elan Valley, followed by a nosh up at Clive Powell’s place.  Great atmosphere and the BEST TT course around.

Shimano 24 Cancelled

Hi Guys. Sad news…. I think! Just had an email confirming that the Shimano 24hr RR has been canceled due to a lack of entries. I was really looking forward to it as well! Have to find something to fill the gap!

Spuik Road Race anyone?

Hi guys. Time to put our money where our mouths are. Simon and myself are looking into the Spuik RR in Stratford on the 29th June. Anybody else interested? It would be good to get a few jerseys out and try to work as a team for the day!
